It is an advantage when dealing with complicated assemblies of many parts to try and subdivide them into units of a few parts each. These can then be assembled individually to form the whole, than added to the chassis frame.  The main components for the front suspension are investment casting in brass, while those for the rear axle/gear box are cast in pewter to simulate aluminium castings.
